Your body is a fascinating miracle that remembers traumas big and small, and stores the stress of daily living. This results in blockages to our energy and vitality and feels like stiffness and tension: ultimately preventing us from living most free and in harmony with our body’s functions. Our body therapy offerings are based in timeless and modern modalities, combined to deliver what is most nourishing so that you may release and renew.
Our Certified Massage Therapist, Trish Newman, has over 22 years of experience with Myomassology (Bodywork that combines modalities such as Deep Tissue and Reflexology) and CranioSacral Therapy, to fully customize your Massage Therapy session. We also offer treatments from the Ayurvedic tradition, in which external body treatments are considered an important way to detoxify the body and nourish the nervous system. Ayurvedic treatments at K.WEST are preformed by Katie Westgate, Licensed Esthetician, who has had extensive training and experience with Ayurveda for over 9 years in spas in NYC and continuing education by a Deepak Chopra practitioner in Michigan. Last but not least, our state of the art LED Therapy Bed is a hands free treatment that regenerates the body using light therapy.

CranioSacral Therapy is a light touch approach that releases restrictions in the central nervous system. Few body structures have more influence over your heath and well-being than your central nervous system. The CNS is housed and protected in the soft tissues and fluid that compromise the craniosacral system. You endures stress and strain daily and body absorbs them, however, your body can only handle so much tension before the tissues begin to tighten and potentially effect the brain and spinal cord. CranioSacral Therapy uses a gentle touch to release those tensions to allow the entire body to relax and self correct. Because of its light touch approach, it can be preformed on a wide range of people from infants to elderly. Benefits from your treatment may include but are not limited to:
- Migraines and Headaches
- Chronic Neck and Back Pain
- Stress and Tension Related Disorders
- Motor-Coordination Impairments
- Spinal Cord Injuries
- Chronic Fatigue

What is Ayurveda?
A Sanskrit word meaning “knowledge of life,” this holistic work focuses on the body as a whole to achieve symbiotic wellness spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically. Ayurveda focuses to wholly energize and nourish your body. Originating from India, this ancient practice has influenced the world- to be modified and perfected over the centuries becoming what is known as “modern medicine”; today, many Western medicine practices and studies owe their homage to the art of Ayurveda, including physiology and internal medicine.
The five main senses serve as our connection to the five main elements: air, earth, ether, fire and water. Through these senses and elements come three basic forms of energy that can be found all around us and within us. These principals, called doshas, are: Vata, air and ether; Pitta, fire and water; and Kapha, water and earth. Imbalances with these doshas causes undue stress and physical ailments, including the buildup of toxins in the body. Ayurveda works with medicated oils and the implementation of lifestyle enhancements that will detoxify and nourish the nervous system to heal your doshas.

We have brought the traditional practice of Ayurveda to our K. WEST body treatments because we believe in wellness as a multifaceted practice. Some of these benefits include, but are not limited to:
- Improved concentration
- Reduced anxiety and depression
- Increase in energy
